Modern Bookkeeping
with a Personal Touch

Unleashed Bookkeeping is a solo, fully remote bookkeeping practice serving clients nationwide through QuickBooks Online. I'm Richard Roche, an Advanced Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor, and I handle your monthly books personally - transaction categorization, reconciliations, and clear financial statements - so you always know where your business stands. No junior staff, no offshore team, no phone tree. Just your bookkeeper.

Monthly Bookkeeping

My core service. Each month I categorize your transactions, reconcile your accounts, and deliver financial statements you can actually read - typically within the first two weeks of the following month. Everything runs through QuickBooks Online, so your books are accurate, current, and tax-ready for your CPA year-round. I work with small businesses and nonprofits nationwide, with particular experience in fitness businesses, pet service companies, and nonprofit organizations.

One-time Cleanups

Books months (or years) behind? A one-time cleanup gets you caught up. I review and categorize your backlog of transactions, fix miscategorized entries, reconcile every account, and resolve the leftover messes - undeposited funds, duplicate entries, balances that never tied out - so your QuickBooks Online file finally matches reality. You'll finish with accurate, current books and a clear picture of where you stand. Many cleanup clients continue with monthly bookkeeping afterward, so the books never fall behind again.

QuickBooks Online Migrations

Moving from QuickBooks Desktop, spreadsheets, or another system? I handle the full migration to QuickBooks Online — chart of accounts, historical data, open balances — and verify everything ties out before you go live. Most clients pair a migration with ongoing monthly bookkeeping so the clean start stays clean.

Financial Reconciliations

Reconciliation is how you know your books reflect reality. I match your QuickBooks Online records against bank, credit card, and payment processor statements every month, catching missing transactions, duplicates, and errors before they compound. For nonprofits, this includes keeping restricted and unrestricted funds cleanly separated.

About Richard

I'm Richard Roche, founder of Unleashed Bookkeeping LLC, based in Asbury Park, NJ and working with clients across the country.

After years in traditional finance roles, I saw firsthand how quickly things can change - stable companies acquired, teams downsized, talented people left behind. That was the moment I decided to build something of my own, on my terms.

I earned my degree in Applied Economics from Cornell University, built a foundation in financial analysis, and became an Advanced Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor. Since founding Unleashed Bookkeeping in 2023, I've provided monthly bookkeeping for small businesses and nonprofits - including gyms and fitness studios, pet service companies, and small nonprofit organizations managing restricted funds.

Because I'm a solo practice, the person who understands your business is the same person doing your books, every month.

Why Unleashed Bookkeeping?

My aim is simple: to unleash the full potential of your business.

Whether that means taking monthly bookkeeping off your plate, cleaning up disorganized records, or giving you real insight through financial statements and KPI analysis - my focus is on your business goals, not a one-size-fits-all package.

Everything runs on QuickBooks Online, and everything is done by me - the same person, every month, who knows your business and your books. You get accurate financials, delivered on time, explained in plain English.

One boundary worth knowing up front: I don't prepare tax returns. Instead, I keep your books accurate and fully tax-ready, so your CPA's job - and your tax season - gets dramatically easier.
